By the time World War II ended, television had begun gaining people's attention due to its convenience and high-technology.

The Rise of Films

There was a shift in the 1960s and 1970s, with the rise of films like Bonnie and Clyde, Easy Rider, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and Wild Bunch. These films featured the emergence of youth culture, which impacted the whole industry and led to looser expectations on sexuality and violence in movies. The 1970s and 1980s introduced blockbuster films such as Star Wars, Jaws, and The Godfather - now considered classics - which people still love to this day.

The 1990's

In the late 1980's, Video Cassette Recorders (VCRs) arrived on the scene, allowing people to watch films in the convenience of their own homes. As time passed, several improvements in film animations added more special effects. It birthed memorable and iconic films such as Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and Toy Story, the first fully computer-animated film.

Future of Motion Pictures
